Description

Beautiful, vintage, German girl doll. The girl is wearing traditional German, folk, dress with big black bow on the top of her head. Germany has very rich folklore and every part of the country has slight different costume. Probably this kind of folk costume is from mountain region, peasant dress. I believe that this doll has composition or paper mache head. Body is made of stuffed cloth. Legs are wire jointed. Face is hand painted, nice red lips and thin brash stroke for eyelashes. Dress is in pretty good condition. Shoes have some wear. Dolls head is cracked. Wear over time. She is 10" tall. Probably from 50's or 60's.
