Gorgeous, hard to find Victorian Fine Operculum Shell ~ Faux Tortoise Necklace.
Operculum shells were called evil eyes in Victorian times and were very popular. This combination with faux tortoise shell is typical for the Victorian era. This lovely necklace is a fine example of evil eye jewellery.
Necklace is around 16” long and weighs almost 39 grams
Metal links and clasp have not been tested, so please consider the metal as unknown.
It could use a nice cleaning and I will be leaving that to the new owner.
