    This plate is designed by Vernon Kilns.  It depicts several scenes from both the Venice, Florida campus and the Lyndon Kentucky campus of the Kentucky Military Institute-- Ormsby Hall, Barracks No. 1, The Venice Barracks, Edison Science Building, Gymnasium, San Marco, and Kentucky Campus.

    Founded in 1845 at Farmdale by Colonel RD Allen.
    Operated as a college until 1896, when school moved to Lyndon.
    Since 1906 school has spend January, February and March in Florida, first at Eau Gallie and since 1932 at Venice.
