I am offering a beautiful Shelley China cup and saucer set!
This is the Scilla pattern, made on the Ludlow shape. It’s a later pattern, introduced in the mid-1960’s, and one I’ve not seen before.
The cup and saucer feature the Scilla blue floral motif around the sides of the cup, and the upper surface of the saucer. The handle is painted in a pastel blue, while the rims are accented in gold.
The cup measures 2 1/4” tall, and is 3 3/8” across the rim. The saucer measures 5 5/8” in diameter. Both pieces are marked

The cup also has the hand painted number
“2511”
near the backstmap.
Condition is excellent! There is one wee spot on the cup’s rim that looks like a tiny rim chip. Closer viewing shows that this is an under-the-glaze flaw, which occurred in the making, rather than damage after the fact. There are some very fine surface scuffs on the saucer around the well, no sign of use or wear at all, and no damage of any kind.
A must-have addition to your Shelley collection.
