    Description

    Vernon Kilns in California made numerous lines of hand-painted dinnerware 1931-58.  The Monterey pattern, with a cream background & hand-painted maroon & navy leaves, was made 1942-54.
    This large Monterey tea/coffee pot is 7 inches from the base to the top of the knob handle on the lid & 10 inches across at its widest point from spout to handle.  It is in excellent vintage condition - no chips, hairlines, or crazing, not even where the lid inserts into the pot where small chipping is often found.
