    Description

    Mid century Vernonware California oval serving plate in the jaunty Tam O’Shanter pattern. It measures 12” x 9”. Thick lines in orange and two shades of green are hand painted to create a plaid pattern on creamy white pottery; then it’s highly glazed. Tam O’Shanter was made for only a short time, between 1949-1958.
    The platter is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks whatsoever. There some light utensil marks, not unexpected on 65 year old + dish ware.
