    1950's  Vernonware Saucers 6 1/4". Brown, Gold, & Cream Organdie Gingham Pattern. Made in the USA by Vernon Kilns, California.  Hand Painted Underglaze
    Produced: Vernon Kilns introduced a forerunner of Organdie (named Organdy) designed by Gale Turnbull in 1937.  In the 1940's Organdie became this pattern as "Organdie 511" but eventually the 511 was dropped.  These plates are all marked "511".
