Woman's Swedish Folk Costume from Medelpad Province Size US6/8 or EUR34. Authentic folk dress includes multicolored striped wool skirt, material is very heavy & thick, linen shirt with red embroidery on collar & sleeves with metal buttons, red checked vest with silver colored metal ties & ribbon and a light blue cap with lace. It is extremely hard to find authentic costumes. This costume was worn by teenager for dance performances for a VASA Scandinavian Children's Club in USA. These vintage folk costumes sell for SEK 8,000 to SEK 15,000 (US0 to ,650) in Sweden. This costume is in very good condition with no holes or marks the skirt has a long hem inside so it can be taken down to make it longer. The blouse shows some age with linen. Cap in excellent condition.
Measurements are as follows:
Full length of costume 47 1/2  inches; Skirt - 32 inches length & 13 1/2 inches at waist; Blouse - 22 inches long, sleeve 25 1/2 inches length; Vest is 20 1/2 inches long & chest is 17 inches. Cap is 6 1/2 L & W.
